HP palm webOS: A new rising star.

HP with the acquisiton of webos has started weaving the dream of capturing a lion's share in smartphone market. HP plans to sell 100 million (though it will inclued HP's other product also) webOs devices in the first year of launch itself.

HP has launched a new webos platform known as webOS 2.0 with the host of new extended and rich features like:
with the HP now we have a new and latest entry to smartphone war and a new and exciting platform for developers to work on, with all these innovations and improvements in market the sole beneficiary is the end user.
HP's success will be based upon the factors like how it connects to its user and developer and how it creates a ecosystem so that both the user and a application developer communicate effectively (App Store).

Windows Phone 7: Success or Bound to be doomed.

Microsoft has lately tried his hands in Mobile arena with different products, there little known product KIN was a failed attempt of MS to regain the lost territory in mobile arena.
After discontinuing there efforts towards KIN and focussing more on WP 7 microsoft was able to launch it in early 2010. Unlike its failed cousin KIN, WP7 has substance to sustain in the market plus Nokia is now collborating with the MS to ship Nokia's phone with Windows OS which will eventually benefit the Microsoft in gaining the market share in smartphones arena.

On one hand Nokia is collaborating with Microsoft, while on the other a long time Microsoft's partner HP has refused to build the Windows Phone 7 due to its own acquisiton of Palm's WebOS platform.

With WebOS a powerfull but less popular OS, HP has decided to play on its own and to establish its own roots in smarthphone market. if something of this sort happens and it is bound to happen, seeing the capablities and resources HP posses, Microsoft's WP7 and Blackberry will be the first one to get a dent in its Market share.

What do you think?
